Katrina Animal Shelter Aid
I am a supporter of the Poodle Rescue of New England and I wanted to know how to help. This morning I contacted Sharla Roussel of the Creole Poodle Club Rescue. She gave me an overview of the situation in the area and explained how the local authorities are caring for the pets that are found or temporarily taken from their owners. The animals are brought into a central location and information is taken about where they were found or who they belong to, and they are looked over by veterinarians. Sick animals are given treatment and the healthy animals get a bath, food and water. The healthy pets are placed at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center where owners can come to claim them
